Steve Purser

Steve Purser was born in the UK and attended the universities of Bristol and East Anglia where he obtained a BSc. in Chemistry and a PhD in Chemical Physics respectively. He started work in 1985 in the area of software development, subsequently progressing to project management and consultancy roles. From 1993 to 2008, he occupied the role of Information Security Manager for a number of companies in the financial sector. He joined ENISA in December 2008 as Head of the Technical Department and is currently responsible for all operational activities of ENISA.

Steve is co-founder of the 'Club de Securité des Systèmes Informatiques au Luxembourg' (CLUSSIL) and is currently the ENISA representative on the ISO SC 27 working group. He frequently publishes articles in the specialised press and is the author of  'A Practical Guide to Managing Information Security' (Artech House, 2004).


Arthur Leijtens


Arthur Leijtens is co-founder and CEO of Bicore. Bicore started as a consulting company on Innovation management. Under supervision of Arthur, Bicore acquired more than 70 million euros investments and subsidies for innovation projects. In 2008, Bicore started the development and sales of strategic portfolio management software tooling. Bicore is fully focussed on the expansion of their recurring service offering. Arthur is part-time the operational director for the Trust in Digital Life association (www.trustindigitallife.eu), which he developed on behalf of four founding members: Gemalto, Microsoft, Nokia and Philips.

Arthur has a master degree in information science and completed Mergers & Acquisitions at the Thunderbird University (USA). Before Arthur joined Bicore, he worked for more than 10 years at Ericsson telecommunications and was involved in the introduction of GPRS and UMTS with focus on the development of strategic alliances and partnerships for application development.

Yori Kamphuis

Yori Kamphuis is passionate about providing a safer, more secure (cyber) world. Together with two fellow students —Remco Bloemen and Michel Eppink—Yori founded Coblue Cybersecurity[1] during his studies. The Kairos Society elected Coblue as one of the fifty most innovative university startups worldwide in 2012. Neelie Kroes, Vice-President of the European Commission, wrote about Yori on her blog. SecondSight elected him as Futurist of the Year 2013.

Yori completed his academic schooling in industrial engineering, geopolitics, territory & security, exponential technologies and theology at the University of Twente Netherlands, King’s College London and Singularity University. Yori won several scholarships and contests such as the NATO Cyber Defence and StrICTly for Business competition and FreedomLab FutureStudies Scholarship.

Besides working in cybersecurity, he works as leadership communication consultant for which he recently worked in conflict zone Yemen. As Futurist, Yori occasionally joins other organizations for their future orientation. Yori is a World Economic Forum Global Shaper at the Amsterdam hub. Also in this capacity, he wants to make the world a better place.

Hans-Jörg Vögel


Hans-Jörg Vögel received the Dipl.-Ing. and the Dr.-Ing. degree in electrical engineering and information technology from the Munich University of Technology (TUM) in 1993 and 2000, respectively. Among patent applications, scientific papers, and other publications, Dr. Vögel has co-authored the textbook "GSM: Switching, Services and Protocols". After graduating, he worked for a European start-up in various technical and managerial capacities. After joining BMW Group Research and Technology, he was managing a research programme on secure telematics on-/offboard service delivery platforms and respective applications. Following launch of the current 7 series, he held the group function responsibility on vehicle software update methods and processes, and was contributing to onboard security and privacy protection initiatives before assuming his current responsibility for personalized services at ConnectedDrive. Dr. Vögel is a member of VDE.
